Eligibility:

Graduate in any discipline or fourth and fifth year students of five-year integrated L.L.B. course who have passed three years.

The Post Graduate Certificate in Cyber Law is offered from July, 2008 through two modes Virtual Education in Law (VEL) & Open Distance Learning (ODL).

This Programme is designed to enhance knowledge, awareness and skills is specialised areas of cyber law and to prepare well informed citizens, academics and legal professional in Information and Technology. It seeks to address the fast changing needs of knowledge society in the area of cyber law.

Objectives: The objectives of this programme are to:

  • To enable the learner to understand and acquire a critical understanding of cyber law
  • To make learner conversant with the social and intellectual property issues of cyber space.
  • To explore the legal and policy developments in various countries that regulate Cyberspace
  • To give learners in depth knowledge of Information Technology Act and Legal frame work of Right to Privacy, Data Security and Data Protection
