The Prof. G. Ram Reddy Memorial Lecture is organized annually in honour of Prof. G. Ram Reddy, the Founder Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU, whose visionary leadership laid the foundation for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system in India. Over the years, the Memorial Lecture has evolved into one of the University's most prestigious academic events, providing a distinguished platform for eminent scholars, educationists, policymakers and members of the IGNOU fraternity to engage in meaningful discussions on issues of national and academic significance. The lecture also offers an invaluable opportunity to gain insights from the eminent speaker while celebrating the enduring vision, ideals and contributions of Prof. G. Ram Reddy to higher education and the ODL movement.
